DR. DANIEL ZUKERMAN
Principal Osteopath of Osteopathy Hawthorn
Daniel’s journey as a holistic health care practitioner began over 15 years ago with massage therapy and movement coaching. In 2016, Daniel graduated from RMIT University with a double degree in Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy).
Prior to osteopathy, he completed diplomas in Hoffman Massage, Bowen therapy, Energetic Healing, Cupping Therapy, Dry Needling, and Crossfit certification.
Post graduate studies include advanced palpation and articulation, functional movement based treatment, chronic pain treatment and management, nutritional studies, pregnancy osteopathy, and osteopathy in the cranial field (including paediatric osteopathy).
Daniel can treat patients of all ages, and was once told that ‘the only patient you can’t treat is a dead one.’
Daniel has achieved some significant health and fitness goals in the past, including significant weight loss, managing both acute injuries and chronic pain, and the importance of a holistic multifaceted approach to health. Daniel utilises years of personal and clinical healthcare experience to ensure a treatment and rehabilitation plan for each patient that constantly adapts to the challenges of their life.
Daniel implements a range of different approaches to individually suit the patient including but not limited to; osteopathic manipulative therapy, functional exercise, biomechanics, sleep hygiene, breath work, and nutritional guidance.
Through this journey Daniel has developed a true passion for your health journey; minimising pain, and restoring function.
Daniel has helped manage conditions such as acute or chronic sports injuries, postural strains, postural dysfunction, low back pain, neck pain, headaches, jaw pain, rib dysfunctions, joint pain/sprains (shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle), and muscle tendonopathies. He has also seen results relating to energy deficiency; sleep quality; immune support; stress and anxiety management; and difficulty concentrating.
Born and bred in Melbourne, Daniel enjoys exercising, playing drums, movies, and learning or conversing about life itself.
Health and wellbeing started out as a hobby, but evolved into passion. Daniel continues to learn with curiosity, an open mind, and an appetite for new information.
“I believe in patient focused, comprehensive health care encompassing components of body, mind, and spirit, through the restoration of functional movement and vital nutrition.”
